What are “You” Baskets? They are laundry baskets filled with items for a new mom admitted to the home. Usually, when mothers arrive at Carried To Full Term, they often arrive with very little personal belongings. Most of what they own is carried in trash bags or a suitcase. The women who come to use live with movement in mind.
Our “You” Baskets are one of the ways we say welcome! “You Baskets” are laundry baskets filled with the necessary items an expectant mother needs to help her get settled in during the first thirty days. It is our way of saying, we see “You” and “You” are safe. You no longer need to worry about where you will get a bath, sleep, or eat.
We want them to know, that our home is a place of safety. We are a refuge from the outdoors. We provide the stability that no longer requires fear of the uncertainty the night brings. We want mothers to know we see them and we have planned for their arrival and their stay.
If you would like to join us in welcoming women and their families, you can donate one or several “You Baskets.” Here is a list of items we place in our baskets. You can add other personal touches to include a card. You can also place a ribbon on the baskets if you’d like.
